Postdoctoral Position at the University of Minnesota

The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the field of gravitational wave searches with Prof. Vuk Mandic. The appointment start date is flexible, but June 1, 2016 would be preferred. The appointment is for one year, with possibility of annual renewals. The research would focus on searches for stochastic gravitational-wave background with Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO), as well as on technology development for future interferometer generations. Background in gravitational-wave physics is not required.

Applications, including a cover letter, curriculum vitae, reference list with contact information, and a brief description of research interests, must be completed online by December 31, 2015.

In addition, applicants should have three letters of recommendation sent to Prof. Vuk Mandic via email (mandic@physics.umn.edu) or mail: School of Physics and Astronomy, 116 Church Street S.E., Minneapolis, MN, 55455.
